Hi everyone,

I've been with CM since it was in beta in the late 90s, PBEMing it to death until the official version came out - that's how good it was! CMFI is my current favourite, since it covers a wider time span therefore more variety that the other titles IMHO. I'm just about to get back into PBEM and my long-time opponent said I should get CM Helper so here I am, but I'm also happy to join the community here and it looks like there is a lot of interesting stuff to get up to date with. Many thanks to Bootie for the site, and the efforts he has made in making all the mods and scenarios available.

A bit about me - I'm a recently retired ex-pat Brit living Ottawa, Ontario Canada. My wargaming activities we seriously curtailed over the last few year due to increasing pressure @work, forcing me to re-evaluate things. Fortunately family life was getting easier with the kids growing up and finding their own lives. I've now discovered that I am enjoying wargaming again and am catching up on all the great developments that I was missing out on. It's a silver lining to the dark cloud that's out there with COVID-19.

Thanks for the great welcoming everyone, and glad to join the ranks. Now I will work getting started CM Helper as my opponent is getting restless for some H2H CMFI. The instruction video was very helpful. :)
