005. The lead halftrack that got hit first flees into the woods to the right of the highway to seek cover but is hit by a bazooka from the left. It burns and lights up the area. Game note: CMBN fires do no create a sufficiently realistic level of light.

007. On the right flank a PzKfw IV is immobilized in the muddy lane causing slow-down of that flank as vehicles try to get around it in the narrow muddly lane.
008. The Pionier element has finally reached the roadblock an prepares to blast the wire out of the way.
009. The wire is blasted into oblivion and to my surprise half of the 'x' anti-tank obstacles are also gone! I did not know that was possible. The down side is a huge crater in the road. However, the following vehicles do not have much problem negotiating it.
010. The situation in the centre. The Zug on the left has moved forward into the orchard which is still occupied by American defenders. The latter have eliminated 1 1/2 German squads in the field of flax. A few of the Americans have fled and were gunned down by the Zug on the road. To the right of the road the Zug is also moving through the bocage into the orchard to its front. The column of vehicles on the highway are all waiting for the bocage overlooking both sides of the highway to be cleared.
So far the situation is developing very historically. Encountering a roadblock and moving through it fairly easily relived the historical event. The significant slowing down of the attack by relatively minor but extremely threatening engagements is also historical. The scope of this scenario is an education in logistics and the horror of fighting in the bocage.
