Well I made my first video today, of a turn in my current Domination battle. When I started the upload to You Tube, it showed the expected upload time of over 5 hours.
What am I doing wrong?
FYI, my cable internet connection is the fastest my server has available.

Upload going on 3 hours now, with 266 minutes to go. And this is for a one minute video! There has got to be a better way.

I'm just guessing? You may be downloading a full size video. Most editors today have settings for u-tube or you may find a converter to tube size for free somewhere. Its better if your computer does the sizing than the u tube server. I think even importing it in to iTunes for your iPod may work.

I am still investigating, DL'd one app, but it was far too confusing, so I ditched it. Am looking at a couple others, will report back with my results. Ratskiss is correct, vids should be processed before uploading.
My upload yesterday took over 5 hours for a one minute vid.

Most video editors produce their output for TV or film. Big file size for good pictures. Utube is low resolution video so when you down load a full size video to utube Utube reduces it's size. this can take a long time. If the film is prepared beforehand it's a quick upload. iTunes reduces resolution for uploads to your iPod, iPhone.

OK, I just uploaded my 2nd Vid...took all of 7-8 minutes. Thanks to Ratskiss, I googled my question and as one would expect had multiple possible solutions. The first one I tried was not successful (to complex for my simple mind), the 2nd try was the answer. I DLd Windows Movie Maker and after a bit of hit and miss, found that if I saved it to my computer as an wmv file then uploaded that file to You Tube in minutes as compared to hours with my first vid.
