Guys,

I'm a volenteer at the warmuseum in Overloon. We have a Panther tank wich was knocked out on the 13th of October 1944 in Overloon. We are looking to find its crew. The crew was killed when the tank was hit and they bailed out. We think that the crew is burried at the German warcemetry in Ijselstein.

The fahrgestell nummer (Fgst.Nr.) of the Panther is 128427 and its turret number is 222 (2nd kompanie, 2nd platoon (zug), 2nd vehicle) Panzerbrigade 107.

Does anyone know how I can find its crew or atleast its commander?
@Shorker @Sempai @Mad Mike or anyone else?

Good luck and keep us posted.
I visited Overloon as a boy in 1970 when my father was in the army and we were living in Holland for a short time before we went on to spend three years in Brussels.
Amazing place.

Hi Dutch,

here is a little bit what I found on the internet (maybe you'll find it interesting or can use it somehow) and then I have also made contact (sent an e-mail
search request/help request) to this forum/website: http://www.panzer-archiv.de/tools/kontakt.php

I'm now waiting for a reply and I will forward it to you then. :)

Remark: The painted symbol on the Panther is a so called Balkenkreuz not a Balkankreuz. German word "Balken" means = Engl. "bar" / Nederl. "bar" whereas the "Balkan" is the region of South East Europe.
