The US Army is considering replacing thousands of soldiers with robots as it deals with sweeping troop cuts.

A senior American officer has said he is considering shrinking the size of the Army’s brigade combat teams by a quarter and replacing the lost troops with robots and remote-controlled vehicles.

Of coarse it makes the drinks around the bar a moot point, after maneuvers.
What if the lead truck is taken out? does the convoy grind to a halt? Some of those guys in the Pentagon are not deep thinkers are they? It's all about money, I guess that you guys that served were right your country does love you. :confused:
 
@Numberz: The guys in the Pentagon are really deep thinkers, I fear. A robot army wouldn´t own morale or consience. The "leader" class would have an absolutly loyal-only-to-government force. And if that robot army is mentioned in public You can be sure they already have developed that for years.

I agree 100% and it scares the pants off me just thinking about the bad possibilities. Now we are a bit away from the terminator idea but I bet not far. I believe the general population has to develop a new way of thinking and give up the maucho rah rah chants. The lines are being drawn and most people are asleep to the reality of life.

yep, until their batteries run out ... then we just push them over and set them on fire.... :p
