We watched it too in 3D HFR (high frame rate) and I must say it is a real spectaculum! Fantastic!
I'd say that there has not much changed at the movies since the 1950s - there was colour film, cinemas became somewhat bigger and bigger
every 15 years and in the 90s they invented dolby surround - and I thought "OK, I'm 46 years old - I have seen it all - you can't invent the wheel
for a second time - what else shall there be to come?"
But last Friday... in 3D - that was so amazing, exciting, enormous - everything! I sat there and was astonished (and had a lot of popcorn on my sweatshirt LOL!)
and I was happy that a visit at a cinema still could be so exciting again! Yes. life in the 21st century is good!
I'm thinking of seeing it again after X-mas.

We have a beamer at home but it is not 3D and some effects (like a huge dragon) you can only fully enjoy on
a super large screen/linen.
(The last film that I watched a second time at a cinema was "Saving Private Ryan".)
