Japanese Sub found

Read the book "Operation Storm" by John L Geoghegan, published this year. It explains all about the Japanese navies airplane carrying super subs and why they were built and what the plan for their use was. Very good read, sheds a lot of light on the development, building of the subs and how they came to being captured by the USN. Fascinating story, well worth your time to read.

As a matter of fact, I liked the book so much I went back to the library the other day and checked it out again...these subs are just fascinating...

Indeed, you have to wonder what affect this would have had if the Japanese equivalent of the Doolittle raid had actually materialized? Or if the Panama Canal had been put out of commission?

Yeah, even if they would have executed the mission they were on at the time of the surrender, it would have been a real eye opener.
