Do you have any restrictions? for ME I would prohibit TRPs. For Probe - no TRPs for teh attacker and no pre planned artillery strikes for the defender. Also no CAS for any type of battle.

I am fine with those.
My main restriction is just no artillery on the first turn when the starting zones are small and already known in advance. If the defender has a large start zone where there are plenty of choices, then I am fine with the attacker using artillery on the first turned(pre-planned)
