I've created a large map based on the Dutch countryside.

Some snapshots:

Dike with canalbridge

Forest with tree's planted in straight rows and irrigation channels (ditches filled with water that we call "slootjes")

Typical Dutch town with small passage ways and gardens

I think it will be done by the end of this week. (I'm a perfectionist). Currently working hard to finish and to dot the i's and cross the t's

Yes you should

I've been to Germany many times.
And no it is not based on an actual Dutch map. This is something for the future. I really enjoy this mapmaking.

Sorry I screwed up and delted the map post from the completed section when trying to clean it up. Basically you should have given me a shout and I move the thread from work in progress through the different areas. My version of Holland is ready. I tried to recreate the Dutch countryside. This features:

-a canal with canal bridges and a dike
-low ditches filled with water (we call them "slootjes")
-mills
-Dutch towns with small gardens
-forest with tree planted in straight lines
-elevated roads
-flatt and slightly sloping (open) terain
