Looks really good!
They have a guy riding a rhino???.... that's friggin' hilarious. 
Yeah, I'd bet the Mandalorian would make a gud gladiator.

We saw it today. Although it doesn't reach the level of the first edition, it deserves to be accepted by me. There are too many and very obvious (but very obvious) special effects.
Well, this movie has some issues. I'm waiting for it to hit Amazon.
This video has some story spoilers, not that it matters much.
I think I'll take "The Drinkers" recommendation and go rewatch the original.
If for no other reason then that great initial battle scene. Even if the cavalry
is positioned in the woods.

Finally got around to watching this.
Just held my nose and decided I'd suspend my sense of disbelief and just enjoy it for what it is.
As a result I'm really liking this ( about 1/3 of the way through). I mean anytime anyone wants
to make a movie about the Roman Empire count me in.
It has terrific sets, action, and at times questionable, but mostly impressive CGI.
Yeah, the rhino seen was pretty silly, but they made it look like something those crazy Romans
might have done.
And they brought the Colosseum back to life. For me, that's simply as cool as it gets.
