[Movie] Rio Bravo

Russel certainly acted in his share of westerns ending with Clint Eastwood's 'Outlaw Joey Wales'

Rio Bravo was remade 8 years later as El Dorado with the Duke and Robert Mitchum as the drunken sheriff
 
Certainly much better than those horrible Matt Helm movies. Of course, that was just for an easy paycheck during the James Bond craze. BTW, the Matt
Helm series of books is excellent. I read through the whole series again just a couple of years ago. Do not, under any circumstances, watch the movies.

If pressed, I'd say his first movie role w/Sinatra "Some Came Running" may have been his best performance. A more serious role before he adopted the
Martin persona.
