As of Tuesday, North America is covered by the third-highest amount of snow this late in the season since records began in 1966, according to NOAA's U.S. National Ice Center.

For the record this is the most I have seen in years, It is just about all still on the ground, very little has melted. Now This is two problems to me...1] I will have the shortest growing season yet....it's bad enough with only 5 months possible. If the snow goes away slowly, I may not see grass until May or June.
2] If the snow melts fast I will be trying to figure out how to get my 16 foot canoe into my basement.

Netherlands had the 2nd warmest winter ever (records started 10 1706). No snow, no ice whatsoever. This weekend temperature possibly as high as 20C!

I must say: "spring feels good!"

Ever get the feeling that may be we have screwed things up worst then we may think?
