I wonder how my editing style would work for CM YT videos... hmmmm.

Very good narrative ... but there is a pitfall with using modern Google maps in built up western Europe regions ... the villages and Caen and industrial areas are so much larger and sprawling ... there was much more open countryside and the road network less developed back in 1944.

Did you try https://remonterletemps.ign.fr/ , IGN is the public operator of geographic and forestry information in France , you can compare maps from different eras.
