Hi, I am having issue with out of memoiry crash even lowering all graphic settings to the lower possible, I have a good computer: RTX4050 with i5 13th gen and 16gb ddr5 ram... This is very strange because my opponent can load the file but not me and his pc has lower specs...
Any solution?

How much video RAM do you have?

I assume this is a laptop?
16 gb ddr5 4800mhz
I assume this is a laptop?
a gaming laptop

I made benchmark to test it and there is plenty of free ram when it crashed.... It loads like 3gb then crashes... i know it is a 32gb app so it should load 4gb ram and my game setting are on fastest and no synbc nothing low tree shaders off

I mean video RAM, not system RAM.

I think the error message means you ran out of video memory.

is this a bug of the game? Maybe an issue with recent gpu or ddr5 ram?

If it is not about video memory then it is most likely about virtual address space. CMx2 on Windows is 32 bits and can only use 3 GB of virtual address space and it is easy to run out. It doesn't matter how much RAM you have. I don't know why some people run into this problem and others are not.

The Mac version is 64 bit and doesn't do this.

Yeah I was think maybe a problem with more modern GPU or even inteI new chips, who knows... Unfortunately I am using windows version :(
Anyways if you are saying it can only use 3gb then this might be the problem because it uses exactly 3gb of ram when it crashed... But... it doesnt explain why m,y opponent can open the file i cannot...

Would a large address awareness patch work with CM?

thanks a lot i will try it tonight

If the theory that you ran out of virtual address space is correct and that program raises it to 4 GB then that should help.

The unknown question is why this happens very rarely to NVidia users, but not zero.

I am an NVidia user and have issues with it from time to time..... usually it resolves itself or i have to scrap the game

i just meant not being able to finish a game i had started...
:( oh well i guess I will have to do same... I noticied that it only happens if i do blue vs red, if I do blue vs blue, i dont have this issue on large maps...

i have noticed some things that make my computer more likely to have trouble with some games........

If you didn't do so yet, compare graphics (NVidia) driver versions with the working computer, and install the same version for a test.
