Will continue the map theme from Dutch's 403 question.
What is significant about this spot?
Hint: I have stood on this spot as a tourist. (Also had to explain to a bus of confused 20 something Aussies and Americans why I wanted to go to a 'boring intersection with a plaque')
I'm a history buff from way back and it's probably the one spot of the one single event that had the biggest repercussions in political and military history. The spark that lit the fuse for all the built up ideological tension that had been simmering for decades into open violence for the early and mid 20th century. In short lots of Uni essays on World War 1 and it's consequences.
