Questions about British officers in foreign countries...

Can British officer own and drive car on his mission in foreign land?
How long is pause between two missions ( for example, he is back from Iraq and departing to Aghanistan )?

Usually about 6 months - 1 year or so minimum between postings I believe.

I dont believe so regarding owning his own car whilst in Afghan/Iraq.
