Singapore Pool

The Skypark Sands in Singapore is a pool, a park and a casino hotel on top of the Marina Bay Sands. The most interesting and spectacular is that the pool is 200 meters high, on the floor 55 and has nearly 150 feet long, swim with a breathtaking view to the side.

This stunning piece was designed by Moshe Sadie, is about 380 meters long and is the newest addition to the hotel for U$ 6 billion.

Holy crap -- that's impressive -- this kinda architecture used to be the stuff of science fiction.

Although I always wonder how much this kind of monumental architecture does for the human experience... anything too far out of human scale is impressive to look at, but not necessarily a comfortable, enjoyable or engaging place to hang out.
