Sri Lankan military personnel take part in a joint nine-day training exercise in the northern town of Mannar on November 24, 2010. Some 2,500 troops from the army, navy and air force took part in the exercise conducted along the coastal lines in the former war-torn areas in the north. The exercise, the first of its kind for local troops, comes after security forces wiped off the Tamil Tiger rebel leadership in May last year, that ended 37-years of bloodshed.
