Here's a question that I would like your opinions on...
I plan on getting "Pike and Shot: Campaigns"

Do I get it through Steam or from the Matrix games website?

I "BELIEVE" the developer (& Matrix) would get more of the money if you bought it from their site. Thereby keeping wargaming developers going and helping ensure a supply of new games (For Meeeeeeeeeeee!!)

(Devil's advocate mode on)
OTOH If you buy it from Steam it helps push their product on the premier PC sales platform, which may benefit them more in the long run and may increase the number of wargamers in the world :)

Then there is the question of Steam,
1. Is it the spawn of the devil or a simple app to make PC gaming easier?

2. Would buying it on Steam make you a sellout or stuck with useless crap if the ever go under (Highly unlikely).

OTOH
Steam has some interesting community and mod options for many of their games, BUT this might lead to you having less time to post here and we'd miss you. (hmmm that almost sounds as if I care,..... nope just propoganda.)

You see you ask a simple question and it leads to a never ending spiral of debate. (Wait one whilst I separate my personalities and get them to play nice, this might take a while (FAT CHANCE))

I got it through Steam a while back (it was a lot cheaper at the time) and it worked fine for me.

If you're ever up for a PBEM game, let me know. :2charge:
Thanks, let me get up to steam (no pun intended) with it & I'll take you up on that offer

I thought one advantage of Steam for purchasing a game was the continuous application of software patches. If that's not a factor, go with the better price.
Agreed, more so if the game is anything like CM but Matrix are pretty slick with their update software.
