A couple of shots from a Battalion Vs Battalion battle myself and a friend played out, we were playing H2H so do try excuse the terrible placement of many units. Had another couple of good ones but they got a tad ruined by a screen-saving error.

A good many men died in this compound, damn ye 120mm mortars

The enemy charge went rather poorly. (The AT gun actually only killed one before being hit by an ATGM :L)

I have to admit, now in my 3rd PBEM as the Ukranians, I am really enjoying being forced (well I volunteered in order to force myself) to learn the intricacies of their equipment and how to use it (or fail miserably!).

Question; the AT gun, can it be moved in game? I assume not? Or can it be hooked up to a towing vehicle (which vehicles)?

Yeah the Ukrainian equipment can lead to some fun battles and some moments when you pull your hair out in frustration.

The AT gun can be moved by the infantry squad however it is extremely slow, i believe it took me close to a minute to move a tile IIRC, when buying it in a QB it comes with an MT LB that shuttles it around and can be hooked/unhooked at will as long as they are close enough. Honestly its rather useless IMO as it was not cheap by any means and its both a large target and unwieldy, using one in a battle where you have access to ATGMs and other modern equipment shows how far behind these things are. I only took one as we were fighting with home rules of no tanks or autocannons, given i knew my opponent would bring swarms of cheap MTLBs or BTRs i though this could be a funny alternative to ATGMs but it was a tad useless.

Given the size of the gun (the things bloody huge! this screen shot does not show it off well) i was surprised i could move it at all on foot. In absence of a game shot heres the gun in RL to show off the length in case you have not seen one.

Holy hell they are huge! Thanks muchly for the info & screen, really good to know; I'd looked at them in the purchase screen, but man portable ATGM's are soo much more attractive. Unless of course your Rusky opponent has 'blinged' his BMP's with Arena!

Also, I've now just learnt what a MT LB is (Google-Fu to the rescue; sounds similar to US M113). Thanks!

Playing through the first mission in the Russian campaign and getting a full company of one of my favorite tanks is a good way to start.

Not sure how anyone else who has played it felt but i'm attempting the final mission in the Ukrainian campaign again and damn is it punishing, attempting to counter BMP3s with BTR4s is a nightmare really interesting tactical challenge though. Honestly so far i might say the Ukrainian campaign has been one of the best.
