I played around the with DUWS last night after our baptism of fire.
I think we should start of with 50-60 CP's, considering we're not experts (yet).
Having to walk nearly a 1Km to the next objective and nearly 2Km when you die is a pain in the A$$.

What I propose for future missions is:
60 CP start
Manually place the HQ Base somewhere safe like the Cap Strigla peninsula. That way it won't be attacked from multiple directions.

Spend 8CP's on two (AI) medics to join the squad.
1 Fire team - 8 CP's

Purchase the following supports:
Mortar Strike (if we find our self's in a tight spot) 10 CP's
Supply Drop 5 CP's (2 CP's per drop)
Heli-Taxi - 3 CP (1 CP per trip)
EDIT: 8cp on the armory which unlocks virtual ammo box.

That will leave us with 18 CP's to use the support and purchase any vehicles we might need.
I think to save CP's we should have a minimum load of say, 3 players to get a heli-taxi back to the firefight from the base HQ. That way we don't spend half an hour walking/running to the mission and not get shot at by a enemy patrol when your half way there (has had happened to me last night).

Any thoughts ?

That sounds good to me, nathangun, but why two AI medics?

The side missions do add a bit of variety to DUWS. The thing I like about DUWS is its scalability, distance wise, and the ability to augment the players with separate AI squads. That being said, I think both Patrol Ops and DUWS have a place in our stable of missions. The more options, the better!

We where playing a couple of missions using DUWS, we where spread out most of the time and we kept getting killed.
A second AI medic would be handy to cover the ground quickly, plus the first medic might get killed. The fire team didn't last long LOL, we found the soul survivor running for his life after we all re-spawned. All that was missing was the sound bite "run away !' :D
 
The description for DUWS on armaholic says it doesn't support dedicated servers :(
I can try and install it anyway to see what happens.
 
Has the bugs been worked out? If I remember, there were some bad AI bugs with DUWS.
 
Yes it should do, The server is set to keep the missions persistant at the moment.

I will add the admin password into the dedicated server section to allow you guys to change the mission currently running and FTP details to allow uploading of custom mission files.
We should give the Patrol Ops a try.
