It's BACK!! -- time to resuscitate The Quick & The Dead!!

Small, quick, fun and brutal blue-vs-blue all-armor or all-vehicle battles in rapid-fire, three-round elimination knock-out brawls!
We start with 8 players and three rounds later we have only the meanest hombre left standing...

All battles are small, 10 to 15 turn Meeting Engagements on small/tiny maps with identical OOB's on both sides -- Axis vs Axis, Allies vs Allies... can be tanks, tank destroyers, armored cars and even jeeps with MG's.
Smack talk, bragging rights, screenshots and relentless propaganda are essential -- so no snowflakes need apply -- no safe spaces anywhere in this competition! :D

If Battles finish in a DRAW, we count casualties inflicted: 20 points per enemy vehicle destroyed, 1 point per man KIA, WIA or POW.

Each Brawl (tournament) will use one CM title -- the first one will be CMFB!

Looking for 8 players -- first come, first serve! (sign up in this thread below)
@Meat Grinder gets the first spot reserved as defending champion from the previous version of The Quick & The Dead competition.

Quick & Dead Brawl 1

8. @Badger73

I'll sign myself up as cannon fodder in slot #8 if we need to make up the numbers (these scenarios don't get test-played, so I won't have any advantage ;)) -- so we need three more players to make the starting eight.

... meanwhile the first battle is ready -- going light, Axis vs Axis ... 1 command recon halftrack and 6 SPW 250/9 recon halftracks per side on a small, cosy, map ... light snow... a few farmhouses, a church...

We may have to go with a smaller 4 player roster for first Tourney if we don't get 3 more players.
What may be holding some people back from signing up is you have to own all the games.
Or people are only just waking up drinking coffee and checking in - so of us have pools and finally have summer so no looking at forum posts in the evening. :D

Ok, let's get this show on the road -- sign up for The Quick & The Dead, B
All right @Rico. Sign me up, laddie! Only CMBN, CMFI, or CMFB; all modules. Would like to play as Ladder Matches. Thanks for organizing.
Ok, you'll get spot #8 -- roster is full and sign up is closed.

If they are ladder games are up for negotiation with your opponent.

Ok -- let's get this show on the road -- here is the draw for ROUND 1 of The Quick & The Dead, Brawl 1

All battles in the 3 rounds of this competition will be fought in CMFB.

ROUND 1:

Battle 1: @MOS:96B2P (ax) vs @A Canadian Cat (all)

Battle 2: @MeatEtr (ax) vs @Valkatox (all)

Battle 3: @sspoom (ax) vs @Meat Grinder (all)

Battle 4: @Badger73 (ax) vs @Wellsonian (all)

The scenario file is available for download below -- unzip and drop into your CMFBScenario folder.

AXIS players start up the battle - please make contact with your opponent asap to get the ball rolling. I suggest setting the default play level at ELITE -- but up to you and your opponent to agree on.

The scenario is 25 turns (although it shouldn't last that long). Surrender is an acceptable option, as it's straight knock-out, so final scores don't really matter. (unless you want to report to the ladder)

Speedy play makes for a better tourney -- the battles are really small and shouldn't take much longer than a couple of weeks to wrap -- max three at worst.

Good luck -- and have fun with it.
