To all my opponents

Guys -- just today got myself a brand-spanking-new PC to replace my creaking old one that has done good service the last 6 years -- so there may be delay while I re-install all the games and updates and transfer all the data between machines.

My old pc is still connected and oline in the spare room -- so will sneak over there and get out ssome turns if I get bored.

Good Luck with that one mate

Yes, it is! - And that's why I still haven't installed my complete CM:Shock Force yet. ;)

I'm saving myself always a little word.txt file with all the updates in one folder (under "Downloads/A1 Shorker/Combat Mission/ ... CMBN, CMFI, CMSF etc. /CMBN first Download/CMBN Patches ... etc.).
And in this little "Read Me" I write everything important about the installment of the games and the correct order of the single steps. ;)
Without these instructions it would be very difficult for me too to install it all on a new PC.

But you will succeed, soldier! I'm sure!

Sheesh... reinstalling CMBN/CW/MG et al in correct order with correct patches is a royal pain ... especially if you have lost or deleted some of them by accident and have to download them from Battlefront anew ... o_O

Rico,
I see you have done this now - great!

But just thought I'd mention the way that works for me (besides @Shorker 's text file, which is also good); as I download the various game files and patches etc as they are issued, I immediately save my downloads to a set of nested folders for each of the games, with the folder names in alphabetical order:

Gamefiles/CMBN/a game v1/filenamexxx
Gamefiles/CMBN/b patch v1.01/filenamexxy
Gamefiles/CMBN/c MG v2.0/filenamexxz

etc etc, as examples - and for CMFI, and CMSF as well.

Saved together like that it is easier to avoid deleting them; but also, the folder order means that to reinstall them just going into the folders one after the other in alphabetical order, and unzipping/using whatever is in there as the next step in the sequence. And as something new comes out and you download it, create the next sub folder in order for the file and it gets stored in sequence automatically.

Just thought it may help for the next time ... :)
