Ripper Street given second series

The BBC has commissioned a second series of Ripper Street, its hit drama set in east London in the aftermath of the Jack the Ripper murders.
The show, which stars Matthew Macfadyen as Inspector Edmund Reid, has attracted an average audience of 7.1 million.

I shall look forward to that new series .....Bring it on BBC

Yeah, I gave it a high-five when it started several weeks ago here on BBC America.
Now, not liking it quite so much. Seems a bit of a rudderless ship to me and the actors aren't all that charismatic.
Still, with all the shite on TV nowadays even a decent scripted show is something I'll keep on my DVR a bit longer.
