I was just wondering being here in the good olde USA if any one knew how many Tommies won the Victoria Cross? I know of only one officer who earned two. The Iron Cross with swords Diamonds and I know I missed one other award attachment was 27 German Warriors. But in WW 2 how many won the VC ??

I do now that the royal army medical corps to date hold the most vc's in the army. Holding 22 + 2 bar there names are noel Godfrey Chavasse and Arthur Martin-Leake the ramc also has a Vc and iron cross winner called William George Nicholas Manley
 
Don't forget the Aussies that have won the Victoria Cross as well.. and Kiwis.. ! .. how many .. ahh , I would have to look that one up!
 
If memory serves I think there where four or five Yanks that won the VC. I think that they joined the Canadian Army and won the VCs that way.
