There is indeed a slight hill but it looks like it's really the bushes that are in the way.
I'm very curious why the AT crew didn't see the tank. It moved into their line of sight, as well. In the next turn, it moved away but was never spotted by the AT crew. Here's a ground level picture.

From our point of view it looks like the AT crew should be able to see the tank.
If only the program could give a the reason for the crew not seeing the tank.
In my post I think it was the trees. The tank was buttoned so that must have been taken in to account.
The program must use the state of the unit and point or points on the unit for the viewing algorithm.

Did you check if smoke is toggled off?
If it's just a small dent in the ground, you wouldn't get "no line of sight"... you'd get "no aim point" and still be able to spot tall things like a tank.
