Mmm... not sure Italians had this sort of sophisticated stuff to wash the streets and I don't think the architecture looks italian either... but maybe I'm wrong...
 
Looks to me like Moscow towards the end of the war... either preparing the Victory parade in 1945 or maybe the famous German Prisoners of War parade in 1944 (can't remember the date and am too lazy to google for it...lol) Vehicles really look russian...

Yeah spent some time refreshing the facebook side of things. Im always busy despite sometimes the work on the actual site not being obvious.

Yes that is the correct answer.... they washed the streets of Moscow after parading the German POW's through them.
 
Yes, I probably wouldn't have found it without your guess. The trucks should have been a give away to me - those perpendicular square windows are very distinctive.

I was not far without googling...lol
 
Not many towns with such large streets either at the time. (and with buildings looking fine and standing up...lol)
