The U.S. 2nd Armoured Division employed a tank equipped with a loudspeaker rather than guns to get German villages and towns to surrender. Lieutenant Arthur T. Hadley, a psychological warfare specialist, commanded the tank.

No it did not...these tid-bits of facts and questions come from a used book I picked up in town. The facts are little blurbs at the bottom of each page.
I suppose one could goggle it and find out more.
