Happy that new fans are getting into the Alien franchise, but damn......I'm old. Watched the original at the cinema.
Yeah, so did I. I'd not seen any pictures of the Alien at the time and the little bugger popping out of the guys chest was...disturbing. LOL

Very impressed by Specimen- feels much longer than it is. Containment was much more standard fare but still decent. Looking forward to watching the other shorts.

I usually listen to Audiobooks when I'm driving the taxi, recently got through the two books between Alien and Aliens' (Alien: Out of the Shadows & Alien: River of pain) awesome.
I also recommend the game 'Alien Isolation' if you haven't played it yet (and play it at night in the dark) very tense game.

My son was only 6 when this movie came out, and I wouldn't take him to see it. A fact he has never let me forget.
He would have pretty traumatised seeing the original Alien at age 6... I would've.
The original Alien movie trailer... pretty freaky-out stuff for it's time... and not giving much away at all.

Hell, I was a mid-20's army veteran then, wouldn't go to it alone, and was scared silly long and often throughout the film and afterwards . . .
