[Book] An Army At Dawn

This is the first book in a WWII trilogy that is extremely well written about the U.S. Army.

Rick Atkinson's style is anecdotal in a way that just puts you right into the situation he's describing. Don't get too attached to the many characters he introduces. There's a very good chance they'll be dead in a couple of more pages!
