OK, here´s my wild stab: It looks italian to me, maybe the Po Valley, and assuming it´s not WWII related (which it probably is), I´ll guess at Vercellae, where the famous battle between the romans and the cimbri took place in 101 b.c.

I am thinking it might just be the vineyards of Kent the thing is I have got to choose the Battle....But looking at that picture closely there are plenty of pine trees there as well, which leads me to the battle fields of Scotland
