Most probably except from the shape, its stealthiness has to do also with the kind of material it has been made off.
US policy makers have it right, with strong landforces you win wars but with strong navy you project power.

I guess that is true. But they could have build 3 Arleigh Burke's for the price of just this one. And except for its shape it isn't that revolutionary...
So it is just the shape of the ship which makes it awesome.
