Mostly only ONE company of a PzGrenBtl were equipped with halftracks.
Exception: PzLehrDiv and some SS-PzDiv (not SS-PzGrenDiv)
And the Russians had most of the horses tooo... By Sept of 44 most of what was on paper, was about 20% on the battlefield....

Surely a weary PzGrenBtl at this time did not have more than a handful halftracks, but a refreshed Div was mostly fully equipped.

Totally agree but even a refreshed Division on Paper was probably a couple of thin Battalions in the field... This was the start of the Steamroller that except for Allied intervention the Russians might had met us a little after we crossed the Rhine... They were granted Berlin, so they played caution and plunder... each town was sacrificed with plunder and rape before they moved on... Just read some of the Arty superiority of the times... and it is just amazing the numbers.... and it was freakin big arty too... I sure as hell as a Commander for our Axis Forces don't want to see 200mm plus falling on my map... lmao... :p

Sorry guys -- work and RL was just a time-sucking bitch this week -- will get these damn opening briefings out this afternoon after the Saturday morning chores are done and dusted.

Danke shön Herr. I'm getting bored of my foxhole and want some action.
