ACK!!!

ACK ACK???
Greetings
Very off-kilter sophmoric humor, mein Freund! :cheerso:

The original reference is to a Tim Burton over-the-top science fiction film titled "Mars Attacks!".
The film was based upon 1960's era trading cards.

The cat image is a recurring anti-Garfield character from an exceptional but now defunct comic strip called "Bloom County".

It's all the fault of @Meat Grinder and @MeatEtr.

Yes, it's "Bill the cat" where I first heard the term "Ack"

@Sempai - no offense taken. I understood your intent was to understand what it meant.

Explaining humor harder than it looks. Let me give it a try. In the movie, Mars Attacks, the Martians every conversation was the word "Ack" repeated over and over with different inflections as a kind of incomprehensible alien speech.

This kind of typically American humor is "Off-kilter" in the sense that it's not to everyone's general taste and "Sophomoric" in that it is definitely directed to a more juvenile audience. So, to my way of thinking "odd" and "goofy" certainly applies to the behavior of the Few Good Men (myself included) who sustained this meme in TeamUSA of the Garry Owen tournament. Subsequent to which @MeatEtr adopted his new Mars Attacks avatar.

I hope that helps you better understand what this thread is about.

Woah! Now *I* AM OFFENDED! Is @Badger73 calling my humor sophomoric and juvenile? Ack! Ack, ack, ACK!!!!
<snipped>

The shoe fits you way too well, @Meat Grinder. Don't let your head explode! :shocknaz:

(As I suggested @Sempai, TeamUSA is made up from a bunch of screwballs. I hope the Garry Owen tournament ends soon . . . . :runner:) ;)

It is a genius movie no doubt! Jack Black before anybody who he was. Good ole Tim Burton at his finest playing homage to the classic sci-fi movies of the 50-60s.
Im half attempted to make a Mars Attack tourney and the winner gets a T-shirt! Whos in? :D
I'd be in
