Nate Schierholtz, who has generated a lot of interest since being non-tendered by PHI, is making good progress toward his next deal.

Fred, I knew you were one of the good guys: baseball and history. What else is there!?!

Ok...ok...Baseball, history, family, God, FGM, women, and beer (don't forget beer).
Yes Anyone but the Bronx Bombers, and for the beer - only tthing to get me off the wagon would be a Belhaven's Wee Heavy Ale.:)

I agree about the Bombers. I'm a Cubs fan first and foremost, and even though I'm a North Sider, I have a soft spot for the White Sox when I'm in the mood to watch teams play with the DH rule.

I also see your from Spartanburg, SC. Greenville has a great minor league park. I've been to a few Drive games on warm spring evenings.

I have a standing half season plan for 2 seats at the Drive... second row right behind the plate, mixed in with the scouts and next days pitchers... Great Ball Park...

For a North Sider, you ever been over to Streeters, I believe it is under the row houses on Huron Ave, IIRC... what a crazy place.... Chicago is one of my favorite cities, I worked in Mahatten for 15 years, and went to a lot of places, but Chicago and Zurich are my two favorites... go figure...
