How St Vith looked like after the Allied Bombing.
Speaking with some locals ,people are still somehow bitter about the destroying of the town by the Allies.

Thanks Chief, i was on a 7 days trip in Ardennes.
I ve stayed in Malmedy but i ve been to the wider Ardennes area plus the HurtgenWald.
It was very interesting as except from visiting museums and the battlefields area i ve spoken with some elderlies about that period.More pics will follow

At Poteu some of the most famous photos from the German side were taken during a firefight/ambush between KG Hansen and 14th Cavalry Group(18th and 32nd Squadron) which at that time were attached to 106th Infantry Division.

Im loving these photos.... are the locals friendly enough... would love to go there one day.
Yeah, the locals are really friendly.
U are feeling welcome from the first moments there. It's a rural area and although highly touristic it seems that not much have changed since those days.
Good thing for me that wife is speaking French and me a bit of German so we could communicate even with the elders as most of them are speaking either french or german
