So you're thinking of joining The Few Good Men brave enough to dive behind enemy lines and keep us all safe for another night. (Clothing is optional, and we usually don't get out alive
).
If so here's a taste of what you can expect inside the ARMA 3 platform.
Convinced?
Step 1 - Buy a copy of ARMA3. It is advised going through Steam as the attached workshop (user content), auto-updating and ease of finding other FGM members is the big plus. Do not sign up for Beta/Developer Builds. We use the latest public release.

Step 2 - Let us know via these forums you wish to take part.
Step 3 (Optional but strongly advised) - Get a Mic/Headset as immediate communication is vital in mission.
Step 4 - Start playing the single player content. ARMA 3 does hold your hand better than previous titles and a bunch of showcase missions really guides you through a key aspect of gameplay each time. Experiment with all weapons on offer.
Step 5 - Custom map or start learning the key bindings. There are a few and you'll be using many of them.
We usually play once a week on Sunday with a start time of around 1200-1300 hours GMT. Existing players are from Europe, the US and Australia.
Don't worry we aren't expert Commandos and we'llsend you out red shirt style hold your hand first few times out. Hell the first time some of us didn't know how to deploy parachutes and tested out the gravity physics.
As long as you want to play some semi-serious modern military combat we want you on board. At the moment we are restricted to squad level commando raids but one day you never know... we may have a platoon.
UPDATE: And some reading material if you enjoy that king of thing...
