Battle of the Proms at Blenheim Palace

I was at Blenheim Palace last night with wife and friends attending The Battle of the Proms........we had a lovely evening, the rain held off......and we were entertained with fabulous music, re enacted battle scenes.....and the appearance overhead of this beauty.........what a sight, and the sound of that fabulous RR Merlin engine was such a treat......

And here I am thinking this had something to do with a senior high school dance
I like this better.

If I'm not mistaken maybe @Hedgehog flew in the Spitfire. (Or was it the simulation?)

The Mustang and ME 109 is pretty cool too.

@Gunner .... What a joy that would be flying a Spitfire .... closest I go was the Simulator, that was very good, I have flown a Tiger Moth which I took control of in the air, now that's flying open cockpit leather hat and goggles .....That was a few years ago
