more often than not, they don't know who Jefferson Davis was. I live in the mountains of Tennessee in the states. The local folks barely understand my mumbling and slurring "Yankee speak" so my jokes are equally stupefying.
I won't delve into political discussions herein because I'm sure that the Bootielicious One will castigate me and eject me from this distinguished club.
In the state I live in, Ar-kansas, they still fly the Confederate National Ensign with pride. In our local cemetery, once a year, all the graves of Confederate Veterans receive/fly a small Confederate battle flag. All us Yankees must tread with diplomacy, as there are some who only consider the war to be in a time out.

first, welcome to my welcome thread. I created it myself because I saw no welcome forum or even an all purpose welcome thread for new people. Granted, I remain beneath notice and am hardly worth the effort, so I decided to beg the important people to welcome me when they get a moment.
second, my dear wife has reminded me again and again that I cannot be important because I am estrogen impaired. My insignificant repugnance can do naught for the denizens of this forum but I can respectfully admonish you to perhaps make your own thread and try to garner the attention of the various wargaming demi gods herein.
Mr. O. Bomb, I would gladly welcome you but I am new here too.

We lowly recruits must travel in numbers, as do the schools of fish in the sea or the herds of zebra on the Serengeti. In this way we improve our survival as the ill and old are picked off by the veterans.
As a matter of polite order I'd like to say that OttoBomb is one word, I am not in fact "Mr Bomb" much as I would enjoy the title. My therapist told me I must be more direct when introducing myself, and here it is. In fact there is no last name, it's simply "OttoBomb" similar to other famous war-gamers; Odball, Prince, Madonna, etc. For my next phase of therapy in 2012 I plan to migrate to an unpronounceable symbol and be known as "the war-gamer formerly know as OttoBomb".
