Facman Update

Man, oh, man, that looks fatal! Good You have overcome that situation. Didn´t know dogs are allowed in a hospital room. But Gunny must have been the only what really brought a bit life into that room. At least so far as one can see on the picture. Further good recovery for you!

Greetings :)

thats some amount of equipment attached to you!!

Aye, it was a testy situation for my family, as I had no awareness of my situation at all. Mary was staying on the campus of the Palo Alto VA, in the 'Fisher House', a homelike environment that Vet's families can stay at. She was by my side every day, and you can see from the pic that for 3 weeks she was having to look at me and wonder if I was ever going to come out of it. But as I always say..."I'd rather be lucky than good".

The Palo Alto VA is very K9 friendly, as they recognize their assistance to the healing process. The only place that Gunny cannot go, is into a sterile environment, like an operating room.

Good to have a good wife, huh?

You got that right! Three cheers for the 'Rocks' at our side!
And it helps to have a son who was by her side thru the whole ordeal. My son wound up taking 3 weeks off from work to be there while I was in a coma.

amazed they let a dog into the hospital in the first place!
Gunny is not a pet, she is a 'Service Dog', and in America 'Service Dogs' are allowed into anyplace the public can go. It's the law.

Jody looking at that picture just makes you realize how Ill you were, of course as usual we all take our partnership at home for granted just getting on with life it's just normal until crunch time comes along and then we realize our much we mean to each other....God bless the Girls, having said that the boot is some times on the other foot this I know because when Stella had her mishap with life I at to step in ........Lets all have a Great New Year and keep looking ahead

A very good law, Jody, as I find! Maybe it would do us something good here as well. But I can´t imagine the german hospitals let animals, no matter if service or not, in there. Maybe in the general waiting room or such areas. But in such rooms as You lay definitely not.

Greetings :)

Glad to see you about again...I have to look into this service dog thing and see if here in Canada it's the same or not?
