Good News...they didn't do the 2nd heart cath.

Bad News...because the Cardiac Interventionists felt the risk to high after reviewing the original film and other pertinent factors.

Conclusion...Heart Bypass ASAP.

If I was willing to have the procedure done in Ohio they would be doing it next week. But since I have little confidence in the VA here in Ohio, especially after my experiences of the last 3 days, I will be traveling to California for the procedure, where my family & friends can be at my side. That means that I will probably be having the procedure in early October. I will update this thread as more info comes available.

My thoughts and prayers are with you brother.

I have known many that have had by passes and they were like new after it happened. I am sure all will be well.

Not sure what I could say more as all my dear fellows already said. All the best - as always if a comrade is in need of good wishes and thoughts. I cross my fingers for You, Fac!

Greetings :)

Fac, I am just seeing this. It sounds like you have a good plan (California with friends and family). Keep us in the loop. We will all be thinking of you.

I am grateful for all the 'Bitchin Good Vibes' my friends! :p
It's times like this that the FGM shines with the light of a special fellowship. :)
Thanks to Bootie for giving us all a place to hang out. :D

My trip out West will begin tomorrow, and my new cruising wheels will insure that I do so in comfort. TV, DVD, Stereo (front & back), AC (front & back), Rear bench seat converts to bed.

California here I come...

I will have my Laptop & Kindle along with me, so stand by for updates.

My thoughts and prayers are with you, Jody! All the best and don't worry too much - the doctors are very experienced with heart operations today.

By the way - your new car looks great! I wished I had such a thing for my Metal excursions. ;)

Everything will be fine again soon - you will see.

Facman Sitrep...
What an adventure! My journey west went without incident until I reached the center of America (Sutherland, Nebraska-http://www.mapquest.com/us/ne/sutherland) and had my radiator split open, causing the van to overheat and subsequently blow a head gasket. So 2 days in a town straight out of the 50's, and $1400 later in vehicle repairs, and I was on my West once again.
Upon my approach to the Bay Area, I once again experienced a mechanical failure, in that I heard a clunk, and my engine died. I managed to coast off the freeway to a safe location. I was only an hour out of my brothers house and had him come rescue Gunny and I. Tomorrow I shall return and have the van towed to a repair shop...stay tuned for updates.

Did I mention that the only motel (built in the 50's) in Sutherland, Ne. had no internet?
