FIFA World Cup Brazil 2014

All I have to say is f*ck you Costa Rico! Serves you right to be kicked out of the tournament. That style of play has nothing to do with football you pussies! :D Only go on the defence and hope to make it up to the penalty series.

Argentina you next! :p

I hear for the semifinal match they are going to install a special diving board for Robben. :p

I find that offensive. He admits one time that he made a swalbe and now the whole world judges him. Did you notice how many times he was knocked down in the Costa Rica match...?
At one time the player of Costa Rico deserved a second yellow card but the referree failed to give him a card.

Oh, lighten up ... yes, other team targets star players, always ... Pele, Maradonna, Cruyff, Beckenbauer, Ronaldo ... but I personally find find trying to win by cheating offensive (and taking a dive to get free kicks and penalties is blatant cheating, sorry ... and it blights professional sport ... they should introduce TV replays to assist referees like they do in Rugby, it works pretty well -- although the players still try and crook the system as much as they can get away with) ... and that includes some of the morally suspect characters in that previous list too. Hand of God? Pfft.

It does amuse me how players think that nobody will notice what they get up to with today's world of a gazillion cameras everywhere ... it's laughable.

Ow yes the famous hand of God made by Maradonna :D

I also dislike it when players dive to get a penalty but what I find even worse are players acting like they are seriously hurt and when they notice the refferee does not stop the game they stand up like there is nothing wrong.

I agree: professional sport is basically: win at all cost and do whatever you can get away with to achieve this goal.

I get annoyed by Robben, because the Dutch team is so damn good,...and Robben such a good player, they really shouldn't need to resort to trickery and diving ... sorry, I will stick to that.

AMEN

Soccer is a hard game to watch when you come from a Rugby sporting culture ..

LOL ... built for rugby is not really suited for basketball...

haha! no kidding as I found out a few years ago when my son's Rugby League team formed a basketball team in the off-season .. crazy. we had to use positions such as full-back , wingers and centres as we had no idea what basketball positions were ... we couldn't shoot ,but we could tackle .. though it was soon pointed out that basketball is supposed to be non-contact ..

so funny seeing them charge down the court following the man with the ball in a v-formation  and it took awhile to stop them always passing the ball backwards ...

I walk into a bar and I see a German sitting there. I ask him "who are you playing against this evening?". He replies "against Brazil". So I say "ow that's nice we play against them on Sunday"

:D
