Your a man who knows his skylights eh?
Up here one is asking for trouble even if installed right...our cool winters cause condensation on the inside which ruins drywall and /or pine. Unless one runs an air exchange duct into the skylight cavity ...a lot of cost if one does so. Which still does not deal with the ice damns outside.
