The last trip. USS Enterprise (CV-6) making her final voyage from the Brooklyn Navy Yard to the scrapper yard in New Jersey, 1958.
Pics looking at the southern tip of Manhattan Island.
That's the financial district and Wall Street. Lot's of money in that view.
This is today, again, from the Brooklyn side.
Can't see the buildings like the Empire State Building in midtown anymore.
Just a bit of trivia. The part of the bridge in the lower right sticking up above the ferry is the Brooklyn Bridge.
When it opened in 1883 it was the tallest structure in New York City.
