I went to Basic Training in San Antonio.
Didn't really have much time to enjoy the city though. ;)
Did have time to do the River Walk and the Alamo though.
Went up to Wichita Falls after that.

@Gunner LMAO! I could have written your post. I suspect I was there before you.
However, after that I went to Tech School in Denver for 6 weeks. Spent more time
at the enlisted bar then class. Fond memories of sitting at the bar listening to this
with a martini or..two. This was circa April '68.:cool:

I was in '76 to '80. Stationed in the Azores and the Norton AFB in San Bernardino CA.
I did a four month TDY up at Travis AFB. (Ah, the Co-Ed's of Berkeley)

My oldest brother was in to Classical Gas. I remember that well.
Another big tune I remember was the Ventures Walk Don't Run. :cool:

Was that clip from the Smothers Brothers show?
