I went to Basic Training in San Antonio.
Didn't really have much time to enjoy the city though.
Did have time to do the River Walk and the Alamo though.
Went up to Wichita Falls after that.

@Gunner LMAO! I could have written your post. I suspect I was there before you.
However, after that I went to Tech School in Denver for 6 weeks. Spent more time
at the enlisted bar then class. Fond memories of sitting at the bar listening to this
with a martini or..two. This was circa April '68.

I was in '76 to '80. Stationed in the Azores and the Norton AFB in San Bernardino CA.
I did a four month TDY up at Travis AFB. (Ah, the Co-Ed's of Berkeley)
My oldest brother was in to Classical Gas. I remember that well.
Another big tune I remember was the Ventures Walk Don't Run.
Was that clip from the Smothers Brothers show?

I'd say your guess is a good one. Although the set looks just a little bit off for there
show environment.
A little research revealed that supposedly Mason played every instrument in this recording,
thus the various cut outs. Amazing!
