Yes HH, most of this type law is very old. Most are no longer enforced, but remain on the books since there is no mechanism to account for social evolution.

Er...not exactly...

From Canada, Citizens may not publicly remove bandages.

From Australia..Children may not purchase cigarettes, but they may smoke them.

From Switzerland...It is illegal to flush the toilet after 10 P.
 and worse yet...A man may not relieve himself while standing up, after 10 P.

To name a few...

So, we aren't the only country that passes dumb ass laws...
