Kampfgruppe @General Specific has been moved to the rear area of 12th Panzer Division for a short rest, refitting and replenishment.
The Kampfgruppe says farewell to the remaining kameraden from Aufklaerungsgruppe Neumann and also the remnants of the Panzer IV Kompanie which is being pulled out for some desperately needed repairs and servicing
The Kampfgruppe is assigned the veteran StuG Brigade 112 under the command of Major Hummel, with 7 servicable StuG III's and 3 StuG 42's on strength.
The PzGren Kompanie receives some much needed replacements -- enough to field one full strength grenadier platoon 2nd (although there remain only enough running SPW 251/1 halftracks to carry only one platoon which have been assigned to the 2nd platoon)
1sdt platoon has been disbanded and 3rd platoon filled out to half strength but
due to the lower quality of some of the replacement troops, 3rdd platoon is now downgraded to regular status
The 4th Heavy Platoon's MG sections has been filled out to 3x Hvy MG's with trucks taking over from the lost halftracks, and only 1 mortar team remains active ... but TWO veteran 20mm Flak Vierling halftracks have been assigned as extra AA protection and ground fire support.
The Kampfgruppe will for the time being have no armoured recon assets on strength -- there is a general shortage of recon vehicles and crews - the Kampfgruppe commander will have to improvise.
After three days, the Kampfgruppe is ready again for action -- the Russians have once again broken through the fragile lines covering the German retreat!!
