Medals or Ribbons

Guys.... just a quick poll. In your profiles we have achievements acknowledged by the awarding of ribbons. Do you think small medals would look better. I know we can fit a lot more in which is why Im asking you lot. Those who dont use ribbons or care need not reply.

I think the ribbons are quite unique and are, for me, part of the FGMs DNA.
I've seen medals in a couple of other forums, but never ribbons.
Therefore, I voted to keep the ribbons .. sometimes it is better to uphold a tradition instead of changing everything.

I like the ribbons very much - they say something about the member and they are also a "historical evidence" and "mirror" of all the fun and creativity that happened here
in this club with all the tournaments, campaigns, quizzes and so on. This should not be cast away in my opinion.

Maybe a scroll bar to the side of your avatar could solve the problem?

I would like to see a combo of each.

Given how good the ribbons look I bet the medals would be terrific.
However, they would take up more space and probably require more effort to make.
Considering how nice the ribbons look I don't think medals are a necessary change.

As in the military, the purpose of the ribbons is to present your lineage. Medals are authorized for wear only on special occasions, not every day. I say keep the ribbons, as they are meaningful in their own right.
