North Korea Releases Two New Photos, And In The Background You Can See A 'US Mainland Strike Plan'

North Korea's regime has many things to lose and nothing to win if they do sthing stupid so my opinion is that all this fuzz is for internal consumption and probably it aims to justify the new sacrifices that North Korean's citizens have to make in order for their nuke program to continue despite the new sanctions by the UN.
On the other hand i don't think that US ,and the civilized world in genera, are too happy in the prospect of NK having nuclear weapons.

I don't think that the US needs to provoke these nuts though...flying stealth missions in the south to what end? We know our planes can reach them why the fly overs? Both sides need to tone down the rhetoric and sit down like adults and have a beer.

We tried! We sent our best freak-- Dennis Rodman over there for a little Freak on Freak action!!! Nothing came about from that meeting? Not too sure why?? LOL!!!

Even though I really like your attempt but do you really honestly think this Pumpkin Pie haircutted freak really wants to sit down and talk things over??? Please!

Yes I do think under the right situation he would sit and talk...it would save face for him ( what does saving face to a westerner mean NOTHING) and save lives of many innocents...beating the war drum will just kill many many innocent people on both sides...even if we went hat in hand to cool the situation and it did not work, we could then say we tried everything. The US state department has even said that the NK have done nothing to provoke the situation. Listen to the following clips

http://worldnews.nbcnews.com/_news/...r-in-wake-of-north-korea-missile-threats?lite

So provoke them more by opening a base for stealth fights and now bring in a navel asset to deal with missiles.

Don't think this is an anti- USA rant...our Prime Minister will be there right beside President when the time comes...of coarse I believe Harper is an ass anyway. It's the Westerner's view of how we want to dominate all those that we can. The only reason that the US and others have not cleaned up Korea ...is that they don't have anything we want, boy if they had oil we would of been in there a long time ago.

Your right Numberz. "The West" is so pathetic ... for so many reasons!!!!!
Well we are batting 100% in failures so far... Libya, Egypt, Iraq, Tunisia, Afghanistan, and now Syria...if we would stay home and stop the insane world policing things could improve.

Isolationism is clearly not the answer. I am trying to remember the last time a "happy middle ground" was achieved.
Well intervention isn't working to well is it? I am open to suggestions.

Colonize the moon and live there?

Now that is a grand idea...the first good idea in a long time... may be we build it and say to Kim ...you can have it all to yourself. Take him there and all his followers and leave them on the moon. Let them worry about the detail after they arrive. (where the water comes from, gravity machines, fresh air, etc.)

We better hurry the Russians may beat us there...

beating the war drum will just kill many many innocent people on both sides...

As I have made quite clear over the years, I am hardly one to beat the drums of war, however I take issue with your position regarding N Korea. The Kim family was put in power by the communists (Russia/China) after WW2, they were not elected and hold no mandate other than that provided by the gun. Since their rise to power the estimates of the number of unnatural deaths (excluding the Korean War) is close to 4 million. Allowing them to procure atomic weaponry will allow for that number to rise in an unacceptable manner. It is unfortunate, but the Korean War has never ended and should be brought to a conclusion before they have the capability to carry the war to North America. It is this little 'phat phuk' who has threatened to attack America and is actively pursuing the means to do so. We didn't start the Korean War, but our failure to bring it to an end, has put us in the position we now find ourselves in. How many more innocents besides the 4 million already gone must there be before something is done to bring about regime change? Talking is exactly what chubby wants, and therefore what he doesn't deserve until he earns it by releasing his population from their current bondage and starts respecting the principles of the UN regarding human rights.

And I might add that all evil needs to succeed is for good to look the other way, as we have for the past 60 years.

I do agree that NK would be better off without the leadership it has, yes they do horrible things to their people...we said the same thing about Iraq and they are now suffering most likely worst after we have been there then before. I said then that that war was wrong and it has proved itself wrong. I am no prophet but this one will make that one look like a picnic, if we continue down that path. I believe Russia or China or both will back this upstart. If we think logically for one minute, we know they have the bomb , we are unsure they could deliver them to the US or Canada, we are sure they could hit targets in the south. So even if Russia and China stay out the numbers of dead will make 4 million seem small.

Population of Seoul 10,581,728 (2011) Total Pop. 49,779,000 [2011] one or two bombs there and they could carry it to that city would be worst then what was done to Japan in WW2. We could say that's fine we will than bomb the north to glass and yes we could eliminate the whole North Korean population of 24,451,285 [2011]. if this was just the cost of peace would it be worth it.

For those of you that don't have families in these countries or cities think for one moment ....put your loved ones in those countries and towns/cities and then say go for it. I must also state guys we are living in countries of the West that are failing economies , and empires and as we have seen in History failing empires always turn the attention of their people to outside their country usually with wars.

So unless young Kim lobs a bomb into the SK or over here ...let him beat his chest and prance around. If I am wrong then we will be attending many funerals in the future and or be in one.

Iraq did not start a war when we attacked it. And had Bush been telling the truth of why we went to war, N Korea would have been a more legitimate target than Iraq, because N Korea was working on WMD and still are. So to equate N Korea with Iraq is clouding the issue. And still you ignore the fact that a state of war, started by N Korea in 1950, still exists. I seriously doubt with the changed political climates in Moscow & Beijing, that either would lift a finger to support this pariah, least wise, not on the scale or the manner that they did in 1950. Remember, were it not for the intervention of the Chinese, N Korea had already been all but defeated in the war. As for having loved ones in the line of fire, most of my family, including my son and granddaughter live on the west coast and will be the first in the line of fire should N Korea succeed in developing their ICBM arsenal. I am of the opinion that the UN needs to finish the job it started in 1950, since nothing good has come of talking with those in the North, who use the state of war to keep their people perpetually blind to the truth. Appeasement is not the answer.

Read a thread, ---- the OP’s premise was that the Norks would lose the war but defeat the U.S.
Drop a nuke on Seoul and Tokyo and the resultant economic shock after the US. and any Allies totally annihilate the North, would be catastrophic for the U.S. in the long game. Asymmetric warfare in top form.
A poster commented the following and it says much about a fundamental truth.

“What does North Korea stand to lose if they throw a nuke or three at Seoul, Tokyo etc.

Currently they are just hair above feudal levels in terms of society and most of the country
still lives at a third world level. The most we could do is kill a bunch of them which
would mean that the paltry resources would not have to be stretched so far. Kind of hard
to nuke a country back to the stone age when they aren't that far above it.....the same
problem faces us with Afghanistan and other medieval countries.

These countries and people can do significant damage to our society.....all we can do is
kill some of them. Their society's are so immature and undeveloped it would be very
hard for us to destroy said society. Unless we exterminate the target we lose and they
go on being what they are. It would be a pyrrhic victory for the norks but a victory just
the same.”

Sorry guys for the black, when I posted I copied, it came up black font, couldn't change it, and thought I cancelled the post.

Looks like China will not sit this one out...

China’s military maintains a long-standing defense treaty with the North that obligates China to defend North Korea in the event it is attacked. The last time Chinese forces backed Pyongyang was during the Korean War when tens of thousands of Chinese “volunteers” drove south into the peninsula.

I listened to the entire thing, and was not very impressed. In the end, I came away not understanding the point the noted Dr. was trying to make. He was just rambling on and on. I suspect he should stick to writing his political thrillers. Then when I saw the sales pitch at the end, with the anti-Obama, pro gun t-shirts, it all fit together, a right wing propaganda/conspiracy piece. Thanks for sharing Numbz, it's always a good idea to know what the opposition is up to.
