What you're eating is what we call "aceitunas. They come in stuffed, pitted, or pitted forms. They're generally grown in the center of the country, and most come from Spain. I don't particularly like them; I always leave them to my wife.

I love them (Pimento stuffed) in a Martini, up, very dry (no vermouth) , 2-3 olives on the
side (if put in the glass it takes up gin/vodka space) unfortunately usually stolen by my wife,
stirred NOT shaken (shaken creates ice chips in the drink diluting it unnecessarily).

My wife likes the ice chips. So I always shake her martini. Me … personally … have developed an appreciation for both techniques … and can go with the flow.
Very dry. Just wave the Vermouth over the glass.
I prefer 2-3 fingers of Crown Royal, three ice cubes, topped with Royal Crown Cola, in a low-sided tumbler. I call it "Royal Mirror". No fuss, no muss, no ice chips, no 007, just good...

He made a big thing out of taking the bottle out of its purple cloth bag.
After a while we all got into it and stood up for a round of applause every
time he got it out and got ready to pour.
